Black women experience overt mistreatment in the workplace compared to their peers. From being overlooked, over worked and experiencing burnout, many of us have been consistently drained by our jobs.
Over the past year, millions of people quit their job in search of something better. My prediction is that this mass exodus of people leaving the workplace will continue to accelerate in the coming months, well into next year.
Will you be one of them?
If you’re ready to get out of that toxic job, I will help you take the next steps. Whether you want to find a job that values you or you’re ready to launch your social justice business, together we’ll build a step by step plan to help get you there.
I have been doing this for a long time and I’ve heard it all. Heck, I’ve been there myself. When you’ve been at a job for so long and you know it’s time to go. But you’re wondering:
What kind of job is next for me?
Is it time to start my business?
What does the next chapter of my career look like?
Meet with me 1:1 and we'll go from Dream Planning to Dream Doing.
You’ll walk away with clarity on what’s next in your career and the exact steps on how to do it.
Here’s what the Career-to-Purpose sessions will look like:
Module 1: Dream Discovery (90-minute)
Clarify your mission statement and how that ties into your professional ambitions. We’ll understand the vision for the work you want to do as well as the values you most want to live out.
Map out your career goals and long term plans for entrepreneurship.
We’ll zoom into the industries you’re exploring, what hiring is happening in your market and how you can best position yourself.
Module 2: Dream Building (60-minute)
Fresh new Resume + LinkedIn profile optimized so that you stand out to clients and recruiters
Launch your personal or business website ready to reveal to the world!
Learn professional networking strategies (even if you’re an introvert!)
Review of your entire Personal Brand including direct feedback on how to increase your visibility.
Module 3: Breaking down (Inner) Barriers (60-minute)
Examine imposter syndrome, fear of failure and how it shows up for you particularly as a Black woman. Having a seat at the table means first believing that you belong there.
Module 4: AMA (30-minute)
Drill my brain with all your business questions. Wondering about where to find clients, tips on salary negotiation, interview strategies, whether you should start your own website, recommendations on the best hair butter for twist outs -- ask away!
Module 5: Dreaming to Doing (75-minute)
Plan your work and work your plan! Here we map out your 90-day plan to put your dreams into action. We’ll go through your calendar and schedule every task you need to focus on in order to hit your goals.
Bonus: 30-day follow up (20 mins)
Scheduled 30-days post wrap up, this follow up call is to check in on your updates and progress. We’ll review how far you’ve come and make sure you’re set up for the year ahead.
Want to know more details? Schedule a coffee chat with me to discuss over Zoom!
